This supply case records an on-site welding job for an HDPE geomembrane liner at an outdoor containment area. The welding work was carried out directly at the project site to join the liner panels into a continuous waterproof surface.
On-Site Welding Work
As shown in the photo, the worker operated a welding device while working on the laid black geomembrane surface. The membrane panels were first aligned and cleaned, then welded along the overlap with controlled temperature and speed to produce a uniform seam.

Welding Method
Hot wedge welding was used for the long panel seams, which gives a strong and consistent weld when the machine temperature and travel speed are set correctly for the membrane thickness. The field seams were then checked according to the quality requirement before backfilling.
Site Conditions
The work was done outdoors on a prepared ground surface. The site team kept the welding area clean and dry, and used sandbags to hold the membrane down while working. After welding, the finished liner was inspected for voids or open areas.
