Kunming geomembrane

Compared with other geosynthetic materials, geomembrane has good chemical stability, tensile resistance, light weight, and is easy to construct. It is applied and used in tailings dam construction and is relatively convenient, able to adapt to uneven materials. Around the world, most landfills and tailings use this material for anti-seepage. And in China today, there are also thousands of cities using this material, and it is also used as the surface covering layer of landfills.

In landfills, in addition to stacking garbage, it also needs to treat wastewater. Therefore, the construction of the entire HDPE geomembrane is relatively complex. Because landfills contain a large amount of harmful substances, complete non-permeability treatment is required. As the garbage in the landfill continues to pile up, and due to the degradation of garbage, there will be a relatively strong smell around the entire garbage site. Therefore, after the landfill height reaches the designated position, we will lay another layer of geomembrane on its surface for covering, which can suppress odor and prevent cross-contamination.

In recent years, many researchers have also conducted research and improvement on HDPE geomembrane and its raw materials, and conducted interface shear tests on the geomembrane-geomembrane interface. The result is that the stress-strain curve of the soil-membrane interface adopts a three-stage elastic-plastic model.

Through relevant research, Kunming geomembrane has learned about the physical shear properties of smooth and rough HDPE geomembranes and different types of soil particles. Thereby, different shear strength parameter indicators are assigned to landfill layers, and it is proposed that the shear strength value considering the influence of landfill age and degradation degree should be considered in the analysis of landfill slope stability.
