How to Calculate the Quantity of Extruded Boards

Extruded boards need to be quantified in engineering use, that is, quantity calculation is required. Usually, what we receive from customers' phone calls are all square quantities, which need to be converted into cubic quantities. Through square quantity × thickness = cubic quantity, because most of the extruded boards in our factory are priced by cubic quantity. Of course, this is not a hard standard and can vary according to the situation.

Below we will give examples for your selective reference.

For example, a company needs 5cm thick extruded boards, 500 square meters, then we use 500M × 0.05M to get 25 cubic meters, and the material procurement is also carried out according to this cubic quantity. Of course, for some construction sites that require more precise calculation, we can first calculate the volume of one piece. 1.8 × 0.6 × 0.05 = 0.054m³, and this 0.054 is the volume of one piece of 0.05M thick extruded board. After getting the volume, we use 25 ÷ 0.054 = 462.96 pieces, then we can accurately calculate that we need 463 pieces during procurement.

For the factory, the length of extruded boards can be customized, while the width can only be a fixed value, that is, 60cm, which is a fixed industry specification. Therefore, specification loss is also taken into account when calculating the quantity.

Exterior wall insulation quantity calculation: exterior wall outer edge area, door and window openings plus side walls (added outside the insulation layer).

Exterior wall plastering = exterior wall outer edge line area - door and window openings plus side walls (no insulation layer)

Exterior wall insulation area: generally about 0.5-0.6 times the building area, calculated according to the actual bonded area after completion. That is, building perimeter multiplied by total height, minus the area occupied by door and window openings, balcony floors and air conditioning boards. If there is pasting on balconies, both sides of balconies, the bottom of first-floor balconies, and upper and lower boards of bay windows, it can be added.
