This project shows a geomembrane slope protection installation on a hillside site in Yunnan Province. The work involves laying both black HDPE geomembrane and white non-woven geotextile on a steep earth slope.
Project Overview
Multiple construction workers in high-visibility vests and safety helmets work along the slope, carefully unfolding and positioning the black HDPE liner over the white geotextile underlayer. An excavator is visible at the top of the slope preparing the ground surface.
Installation Steps
The installation follows standard geomembrane slope protection procedures:
- Slope grading and compaction to remove sharp objects and debris
- Laying white non-woven geotextile as cushion layer to protect the geomembrane from puncture
- Unrolling black HDPE geomembrane over the geotextile, starting from the top of the slope
- Seaming overlapping edges with hot wedge welding machine
- Securing the top edge with a trench anchor and backfilling
Material Used
The project uses 1.5mm smooth HDPE geomembrane combined with 300g/m² non-woven geotextile. This combination provides reliable waterproofing while protecting the liner from rock puncture. For similar projects, our geomembrane products are available in various thicknesses from 0.5mm to 3.0mm.
