
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane liners are used for a wide range of containment applications. This material is available in smooth, textured, white, conductive and high-temperature variations, with excellent durability and chemical resistance, and is reliable in exposed applications, providing excellent UV protection and aging resistance under harsh weather conditions.
HDPE geomembranes are available in a variety of surface treatments, including textured, smooth and conductive. Textured finishes provide higher friction angles to prevent sliding of adjacent materials when lining steep slopes, while smooth geomembranes are the preferred product for lining projects requiring low permeability. Due to the relative stiffness of HDPE, field seams usually need to be performed by trained geomembrane installers.
White is available. Why is this important? White reflective HDPE geomembrane liners can reflect light, improve damage detection, reduce wrinkles and subgrade drying. White HDPE is used in applications requiring enhanced quality assurance measures compared to standard geomembranes.
Conductive geomembrane
Conductive geomembrane liners are smooth spark-testable HDPE geomembranes that contain an integrated, specially formulated conductive layer on the bottom surface of the geomembrane. Using equipment capable of spark testing in the field, conductive geomembrane liners can be easily tested for post-installation damage.
High-temperature high-density polyethylene geomembrane
High-temperature geomembrane is a specially designed HDPE geomembrane that can maintain its mechanical and physical properties when exposed to temperatures up to 212°F. In addition to the traditional characteristics of polyethylene geomembranes, this innovative formulation also has enhanced mechanical properties and chemical stability at high temperatures.
