Non-woven geotextile is widely used in roads, railways, dams and landfills for separation, filtration, drainage and protection. Correct laying method directly affects its service effect.
Step 1 - Foundation treatment: the foundation surface should be leveled and compacted, and sharp stones and debris that may damage the fabric should be removed.
Step 2 - Laying: lay the non-woven fabric flatly on the foundation, and the overlap width between adjacent sheets should be no less than 20-30 cm. The fabric should be stretched tightly to avoid wrinkles.
Step 3 - Fixing: fix the fabric with U-shaped nails, soil bags or sandbags at the edges and overlap joints to prevent it from being blown or displaced.
Step 4 - Protection: when backfilling, avoid direct dumping of large stones on the fabric. The backfill should be laid and compacted layer by layer to protect the fabric from damage.
