
Insulation nails are widely used to fix insulation boards on walls and roofs. To guarantee the fixing strength and service life, each batch should be tested according to standard procedures.
The tensile pull-out force is the most important index. A sample of the nail is fixed into the insulation board, and a tensile testing machine pulls it vertically until it is detached. The pull-out force should not be lower than the rated value in the product specification.
The disk diameter and disk thickness are measured with a caliper. The disk must be wide enough to press the insulation board without puncturing it, so dimensional accuracy directly affects the waterproofing performance.
The nail body is checked for straightness, surface cracks and complete barbs. The plastic material should show no aging, no brittleness and uniform color, and the metal or plastic disk should be firmly connected to the nail body.
The packaging should be complete with the model, specification and production date printed on the label. Testing records should be kept for traceability and provided to the customer together with the delivery.
