These field photos show a geomembrane liner covered with white non-woven geotextile protection fabric. The black liner edge is visible where the geotextile overlaps.
Field Observations
The white geotextile lies flat over the black liner. The overlap along the edge shows the two layers clearly. The subgrade is compacted soil.
Installation Notes
The geotextile is unrolled over the liner after all seams have been tested. It protects the liner from UV and from the soil cover placed on top. Overlaps are sewn or heat-bonded at 300mm.
