Glass wool is a common thermal insulation and sound absorption material, widely used in building walls, roofs, steel structures and pipe insulation. Correct installation method is very important.
Step 1 - Wall insulation: cut the glass wool roll felt according to the wall height, insert it between the wall studs or directly paste it on the wall, and fix it with nails or adhesive. The joints should be tightly connected.
Step 2 - Pipe insulation: wrap the glass wool with the required thickness around the pipe, and fix it with aluminum foil tape or wire. The pipe fittings and elbows should be insulated separately.
Step 3 - Protection layer: for outdoor or humid environments, add a protective layer or aluminum foil facing to prevent the glass wool from absorbing moisture and reduce the insulation effect.
Step 4 - Safety: during installation, wear gloves, masks and protective clothing to avoid skin irritation and respiratory discomfort caused by glass fiber.
