Non-woven geotextile is an important geosynthetic material. To ensure its service performance, strict quality testing must be carried out before use.
Main testing items include: unit area mass, thickness, tensile strength and elongation at break, tearing strength, puncture resistance, water permeability coefficient, effective pore size and anti-aging performance.
Testing method: sample according to the standard, measure the unit area mass with a balance, test the tensile strength and elongation with a universal testing machine, test the water permeability with a constant head permeability tester, and test the pore size with a dry sieving method.
Quality requirements: the product should meet the design grade requirements. Generally, the tensile strength of road geotextile is 8-40 kN/m according to the specification. The elongation at break should be within the standard range, and the tearing strength should not be less than the design value.
