Rubber plastic insulation board is soft and elastic, and is suitable for the cold insulation of pipes, air ducts and equipment. Before installation, clean the surface of the pipe and remove oil and dust.
Cut the insulation board to size with a sharp knife. For the pipe insulation, the board should be cut into strips according to the pipe diameter and then wrapped around the pipe tightly.
Apply special adhesive on the joint surfaces and press the two edges together. The joint should be tight and smooth without gap. For large pipes, the board can be fixed with tape first and then bonded.
For elbows, tees and valves, cut the board with a miter cut to make the joint fit the shape. The insulation layer at the connection should be continuous and complete to avoid cold bridge.
After installation, check the whole insulation layer. There should be no exposed pipe surface, and the joints should be firm. For outdoor use, add a protective layer on the outside to prevent aging.
