Insulation nails are used together with insulation boards such as rock wool, glass wool and XPS boards. Correct installation ensures the board is firmly fixed and does not fall off during wind load.
Drill holes on the wall or roof first with an electric hammer. The hole depth should be slightly deeper than the nail length, and the diameter should match the nail body. Clean the dust in the hole before installation.
Insert the nail into the hole and hammer it gently until the disk is flush with the surface of the insulation board. The disk must press the board evenly. Do not hammer with too much force, otherwise the board may be damaged.
Install 4 to 8 nails per square meter according to the design requirement. For the edge and corner areas of the board, the nail spacing should be reduced to improve the fixing strength.
After installation, check the fixing condition of every nail. The insulation board should be flat without bulging, and the nail disks should not sink into the board. Correct any loose nails immediately.
