Our company supplied 15,000 meters of plastic blind ditch to a slope protection project in Yunnan, used for the internal drainage of retaining walls and slope bodies to reduce water pressure on the structure.
Because the slope is located in a high rainfall area, water accumulation behind the retaining wall may cause instability. The plastic blind ditch has a three-dimensional porous structure, which can effectively collect and discharge the water inside the soil.
During construction, the blind ditch was laid in the drainage groove behind the retaining wall, wrapped with geotextile as a filter layer. The drainage outlets were connected to the surface drainage system at intervals.
After the rainy season test, the blind ditch drainage effect was significant, and no water accumulation or seepage was found behind the wall. The customer confirmed that the blind ditch has stable structure and good water permeability, and ordered additional quantities for the next phase.
