We recently supplied 30,000 meters of flexible permeable pipe to a highway drainage project in Yunnan, used for the subgrade blind ditch and shoulder drainage system to collect and discharge groundwater.
Because the subgrade of the project is located in a rainy area with high groundwater level, an efficient drainage system is required to prevent the roadbed from being soaked. The flexible permeable pipe has a porous wall and good flexibility, suitable for laying in trenches.
During construction, the permeable pipe was laid in the excavated trench with a slope of 0.5%-1%, wrapped with geotextile as a filter layer and surrounded by graded gravel. The joints were connected with special sleeves.
After the rainy season, the drainage system worked well, and the subgrade moisture content was effectively controlled. The customer confirmed that the permeable pipe has stable water permeability and long service life, and will continue to use it in subsequent sections.
