Conventional Performance Parameters of Geotextile

Geotextile is a permeable fabric that, when used in association with soil, has the ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect or drain. Geotextiles have a wide range of applications and are currently used in many civil engineering applications, including roads, airports, railways, embankments, retaining structures, reservoirs, canals, dams, bank protection and coastal engineering. Because polypropylene geotextiles perform well when exposed to water and other inorganic compounds, they can be used in certain applications such as pond liners, riverbank weed control, garden fountain system liners, filtration, pond dividers, pile wrapping, lagoon liners and more. Most of these applications are not technical compared to beach reclamation systems or retaining walls, but they are practical and cost-effective applications of geosynthetics, and their uses are growing.

They are usually made of polypropylene or polyester. In many cases, geotextiles replace or reduce the need for using natural aggregate construction materials, thereby providing economic and environmental benefits. We offer a range of geotextiles, including non-woven and composite materials.

Our non-woven geotextiles are made of polypropylene fibers, needle-punched to form a dimensionally stable network, with wide applications in civil environmental engineering and construction projects. The uses of geotextiles are:

Filtering soil in drainage applications by retaining soil particles while allowing water to flow freely.

Separation and stabilization in highway and railway construction.

Preventing soil movement in erosion control measures.

Buffering and protection in many containment projects.

Our geotextiles have different strengths and thicknesses to ensure the appropriate material is selected according to project requirements.
