External Wall Extruded Board Insulation Construction (with Process Diagram)

The construction of external wall extruded boards generally has 6 major steps. According to the process flow, they are: cement mortar leveling (1:3 ratio), bonding mortar layer (usually 1cm thick), extruded board laying (commonly 5CM thick B1 grade flame-retardant type), glass fiber mesh cloth (needs to be used with glue), bottom mortar layer, surface mortar.

And the construction of extruded boards, in addition to these major steps, also involves some small steps, such as hanging vertical, finding rules, cleaning the surface layer, insulation nail fixing, etc. We can get a general understanding through the above diagram during construction. For the use of external wall insulation of extruded boards, different construction sites have different construction plans. Specifically, we can determine on site according to relevant engineering drawings. Take mesh cloth as an example. Some construction sites do not use mesh cloth as a fixing method, but use galvanized mesh for fixing. There are also construction sites with external wall tile technology, then the current method cannot be used for construction. Instead, steel frames are used to fix tiles, then extruded boards do not need to bear weight, and there are differences in the process. And external wall dry-hung tiles is also a different process.

When extruded boards are used for external wall construction, the requirements for strength are relatively high. Extruded boards used for foundation pit backfilling and waterproof layer protection cannot be used. They must be qualified B1 grade extruded boards, because in terms of strength, B1 grade can meet the relevant use requirements.

In addition to the process requirements themselves, the construction of external walls also requires high requirements for safe construction, which must meet the safety specifications for engineering building materials construction and safety operation standards.
