Grass grid (grass paver grid) is a geotechnical material used for slope protection, parking lot greening and lawn reinforcement. Its quality is directly related to the bearing capacity and greening effect, so strict inspection must be carried out before use.
Main testing items include: raw material (HDPE/PP virgin or recycled material content), appearance quality, size and tolerance, unit weight, compressive strength, bending strength, impact resistance, UV aging resistance and weather resistance.
Testing method: check the grid size and hole shape with a vernier caliper and angle gauge; test compressive strength on a universal testing machine to measure the maximum load before deformation; UV aging test is carried out in a xenon lamp aging box to evaluate the color change and strength retention after aging.
Quality requirements: the grid surface should be smooth, without cracks, burrs or deformation; compressive strength should not be lower than the design value (generally more than 20-50 t/m²); after 1000 hours of UV aging, the tensile strength retention rate should be no less than 80%.
