Regarding the installation of water-swellable waterstop strip:
1. For installation with reserved adhesive method, a waterstop strip placement groove needs to be reserved in the first-poured concrete (can be reserved by nailing wooden strips in the formwork). After removing the first-poured concrete formwork, clean the surface so that the joint surface is free of water, clean, and free of debris.
2. Embed the waterstop strip into the reserved groove. If no groove is reserved, for vertical joints, adhesive can be added for full-length bonding, or cement nails plus wooden strips can be used to fix the waterstop strip; for horizontal joints, it can be directly bonded to the concrete surface. After the waterstop strip is bonded, concrete should be poured as soon as possible. During the installation and bonding process, the water-swellable waterstop strip should be prevented from being contaminated and from swelling due to water, so as not to affect the use effect.
3. This product is pre-placed at the interface of concrete construction joints and post-pouring joints. After secondary concrete pouring (i.e., in the state of being wrapped by concrete), it swells when encountering water and can completely block andprevent leakage water sources.
