Extruded board construction

For external wall insulation of house buildings, using extruded boards as insulation material is essential. But for the use of extruded boards, for some people without external wall insulation construction experience, unnecessary waste will occur, and these wastes can be avoided. For example, in the construction of self-built houses, some people have now started to use extruded boards as thermal insulation materials.

Whether self-built houses or professional construction teams, the reasonable use of extruded boards can play a certain role in reducing material use costs. So what waste behaviors will we have during extruded board construction?

As foam boards, extruded boards will be damaged during handling, loading, logistics transportation and other links. Then these damaged extruded boards are wasted materials. When encountering such a situation, how should we handle it? Of course, continue to use it, just need to repair the damaged place. In addition to transportation, extruded boards will more or less cause breakage and damage during construction, which can be treated by gluing.

The specification of one extruded board is 1200mm×600mm. After damage occurs, it cannot completely fill the construction surface. Then we can find a new extruded board, use a utility knife to cut a piece of material matching the missing corner, and then perform gluing and splicing.

And that new extruded board is specially used as repair material, used when damage or missing corners occur.

Of course, even if we do not use brand new boards for repair, we can also obtain scraps of extruded boards from the positions where doors and windows need to be opened. These can all be used as consumables for repair.

What is more important in engineering construction is cost control. Many a little makes a mickle. Strict cost control can expand engineering benefits and form a good cycle.
