Grass grid provides a permeable cart path that blends visually with the golf course landscape. Unlike asphalt, it reduces stormwater runoff and does not create a heat island effect on the fairway.
Wear and Recovery
The grid cells distribute cart load across a wider area, reducing soil compaction. Grass grows through the cells and recovers quickly from cart traffic. High-traffic turns may require denser turf or a reinforced grid version.
Installation Base
Excavate 150mm, lay geotextile, add 100mm compacted gravel, then place the grid. Fill cells with sandy loam and seed. Edge the path with concrete or timber to prevent grid migration under repeated cart wheel traffic.
