Pipe and Wiring Issues in Walls During Rock Wool Board Installation

Window gaps: Usually, the rock wool board insulation layer is very dense. So it is difficult to stuff it into the space. But you can divide it into two layers, then cut from the center. It will reduce density and hardness. Therefore, you can use a putty knife to easily fill the cavity.

Air conditioning pipes: To deal with this problem, you need to measure from the edge of the stud. Then pull it onto the rock wool insulation layer. After that, you need to cut out a groove, just like you install air conditioning pipes in rock wool. After that, remove half of the insulation layer equal to the pipe. Install it behind the pipe.

Wires: Usually, wires are a bit different. Because they are very small. That's why all you do is stand on the rock wool and check the wire position. Then cut out a groove on the rock wool, put the conduit in, and the conduit is pre-embedded for threading.

Electrical box: First, you need to measure the electrical box. Then cut part into rock wool insulation material. This way the rock wool insulation material can easily fit well. Then carefully take out the excess rock wool insulation material.

After you have successfully installed the rock wool insulation material into the wall, you can install gypsum board on its surface.
